Come and visit our “Pop-up” store in the Moor Market

19th - 20th October 2017

ALMOST 2,000 people sought advice on alcohol and better health at our last pop-up store at Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre, now Drink Wise, Age Well brings their pop-up store to the Moor Market for four weeks only from 26th September until 20th October.

During the 4 weeks visitors will be offered the opportunity to try out interactive activities aimed at highlighting some of the particular harms that can be caused by alcohol in older people, as well as discovering the benefits of making some changes to drinking patterns.

The Drink Wise, Age Well team will share information and tips for making healthier choices about alcohol and offer on-going support if needed and the shop will also showcase a variety of the activities that Drink Wise, Age Well has been running across Sheffield over the last two years, all of which promote healthier ageing, keeping active, meeting new friends and learning new skills.

Shoppers can sign up for a range of activities, including urban gym sessions at Bramall Lane run in collaboration with Sheffield United Community Foundation, mind and memory sessions at Central Library and health and well-being sessions run alongside Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme.

Joining Drink Wise, Age Well for a day each throughout the four weeks will be: Sheffield Carers, the Alzheimer’s Society, Age UK, Sheffield Royal Society For The Blind, Sheffield Health and Social Care, IAPT,  Addaction,  Safer Road Partnerships, Sporting Chances and Sheffield Alcohol Support Service.
